|
Beltway Business Park is a 400-acre mixed-use, commercial business center located in southwest Houston. This deed restricted park was created by the principals of Wolff Companies in 1970 and is considered one of Houston's first deed-restricted business park environments. It is located on the east side of Beltway 8, just south of the Westchase district.
The original development plan called for 200 acres of business or light industrial uses, 100 acres of garden apartments and 100 acres of retail/commercial uses. The initial purchasers of sites in the park included Gulf Oil Corporation, Westinghouse Electric Corporation, Hewlett-Packard Company, Gulf States Toyota, Inc., Coors Distributing Company, and many others. By 1984, Wolff Companies' principals had sold all of their interests in the remaining sites in Beltway and are no longer involved in the development.
