This joint City of Houston/Metro project runs from just west of Sam Houston Tollway to State Highway 6 and greatly increases the accessibility of Westway Park by opening additional lanes to traffic. The booming residential areas north of Interstate 10 and west of Westway Park, including upscale residential neighborhoods such as Twin Lakes and Lakes on Eldridge, now enjoy a quick commute to the growing Westway Park employment center.

Clay Road construction is now complete greatly increasing accessibility to Westway Park
Improvements to Clay Road continue to enhance Westway Park 's appeal. Time Warner's News 24 selected Westway Park to build its 24-hour, all digital local news operations. The convenient Techway location was important for a station that dispatches news crews to all parts of the city to capture fast-breaking stories.
In other Westway Park news…The Houston Chronicle reports construction is progressing on the Broadstone at Westway Park, a luxury apartment community developed by Alliance Communities and Opus West Corp . The addition of multifamily to the Westway Park development was carefully planned, with a dense greenbelt of trees buffering the park's residential and office sections from each other.

The heavily wooded Westway Park, located on the Techway between U.S. 290 and I-10, offers landmark, class-A office developments, carefully planned, upscale residential and high quality campus facilities. Sample tenants and owners include the Cameron division of Cooper Cameron, Stewart Title, Ryland Homes, Invensys, PLC, Nextel, and P & O Nedloyd.
Other area mobility projects include the widening of the Sam Houston Tollway. Harris County Toll Road Authority is adding lanes in each direction to accommodate the growing traffic demand between I-10 and U.S. 290. The project is scheduled to be completed this spring.
