“Westway Park offers fundamentals a long-term owner wants—a convenient Tollway location, proximity to shopping, restaurants and other services, and a variety of attractive residential developments close by,” said Dan Bellow of The Staubach Company, who was joined by Mike Boehler in representing BJ Services.
With more than 10,000 employees and consolidated revenues for 2003 exceeding $2.1 billion, BJ Services ( www.bjservices.com ) is a leading provider of pressure pumping and other oilfield services serving the petroleum industry worldwide. It ranked 13th in market capitalization on the Houston Chronicle's list of Houston's largest companies.
BJ Services has not announced final plans for the property located adjacent to the 215,000 square-foot, class A headquarters of the Cameron division of Cooper-Cameron. Westway Park also is Western Hemisphere headquarters for London-based Invensys, a technology, instrumentation and controls company with more than $ 9 billion in total assets.

The sale follows close on the heels of the sale of a site at Clay Road at Westway Park Boulevard for an upscale retail development, The Plazas at Westway Park. Land in Westway Park is more than 70 percent sold. Available sites ranging from 2 to 14.9 acres are prime locations for additional corporate office, service/technology facilities, retail or restaurant developments.
Positive attention focused on Westway Park has a spillover effect… in other news this month:
- Carolyn Wolff Park, a conservation area in Westway Park that permanently protects over 80 trees, many of which are at least 100 years old, has taken Statewide honors with a Keep Texas Beautiful Award;
- and a 100-percent leased, 102,000 square foot office property on the northern edge of Westway Park has traded hands in a transaction valued at over $15 million.
