handed out The Office Building of the Year Awards (TOBY) for
2003, with two buildings in The Energy Corridor taking
top honors.
Granite
Park 10, located at 15115 Park Row in the Park 10 Regional
Business Center, is the best building in Houston from
100,000 - 249,999-square feet. TOBY judges applauded the project's
landscaping, for preserving a towering water oak with a 50-foot
canopy among 275,000 square feet of trees, ornamental grasses
and perennial flowers. Gensler designed the class-A
office building, the first phase of a multiphase commercial
development on 24.5 acres bordering the Katy Freeway.
Four
Westlake Park, managed by Crescent Property Services,
at 200 Westlake Park Boulevard, is Houston's best building
from 500,000 to 1 million square feet. The 20-story office
tower is the crown jewel of the 57-acre Westlake Park office
complex, containing more than 2 million square feet of class-A
space.
