Park 10 pumps up with retail projects … A new, 130,000 square-foot retail development is kicking off on almost 16 acres at the intersection of Barker Cypress Road and the Katy Freeway. The $15 million project will include a Bally Total Fitness center and retail/restaurant pad sites. Developer Peyton Cottrell Interests, Inc. and equity partner Realty Capital Partners, Inc. were attracted to the prime retail location at the west end of Park 10, immediately east of Ten Oaks, Wolff Companies' newest master-planned office park, because it gave them command of a corner in a bustling commuter area. Construction is expected to commence this summer.

In other news around the park…Adding retail and fitness to the health-minded mix of new development is a logical next step, with the new Texas Children’s Hospital campus on the horizon and the Foundation West Houston Surgical Center already in operation.

Signaling its favorable prognosis for the area’s future, Foundation Surgery Affiliates has acquired additional land for additional development adjacent to its surgical center.
