Another global powerhouse is turning earth in Westway Park.
Invensys started construction this week on its North American headquarters in Westway Park, the Wolff Companies' mixed-use development at Clay Road and the West Sam Houston Tollway.
Invensys, a $9 billion global technology and instrumentation firm…“looked to Westway Park because of its corporate campus environment,” said Don Dennis, President of Archway Properties, the facility developer in a joint venture with The Simpkins Group. Tollway access between I-10 and 290, strategic proximity to customers and peer group high tech and energy companies, and an appealing location for employees, were other deciding factors.

The new 93,000 square foot Invensys corporate facility will be built on 8 acres of a 12.3-acre site on Equity Drive. Ambrose McEnany and House Architects are designing the corporate facilities, and Rosenberger Construction is the general contractor.
Invensys is a global force in the automation and controls industry, providing software, networks and electronics to leading companies worldwide, from Shell and BP to Kraft, General Mills and Eli Lilly. Invensys joins the Cameron division of Cooper Cameron, BJ Services, Seismic Exchange and Nextel, all engineering and technology firms that sought out West Sam Houston Techway locations, and chose Westway Park for
their world-class corporate environment.
More than 75% of available Westway Park land is in the hands of users, with the recent additions of BJ Services, La Quinta Inn and Suites, The Plazas at Westway Park retail center, and the Broadstone at Westway Park upscale apartment homes. Prime sites with Tollway frontage are still available, and wooded locations, including one bordering the
award-winning Carolyn Wolff Park, a 3-acre preserve of 100-year-old native Texas hardwood trees.
Bill Wolff, Jay Wall and Brad Metzger with Equis Corporation represented Invensys.
